DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Conducting geotechnical material field testing such as field compaction testing, wet concrete sampling, and concrete and asphalt coring, as part of QC and QA programs;
Performing lab testing for soil and asphalt when required;
Assisting Lab Manager in maintaining the laboratory in appropriate working condition;
Maintaining a safe working environment by complying with all safety codes, guidelines and regulations and indicated by the McIntosh Perry and Safety Office;
Participating in all assigned Health and Safety training programs;
Attending in technical training programs as required;
Maintaining strong and effective working relationship with McIntosh Perry's clients and subcontractors and;
Other duties as my be required

QUALIFICATIONS

Post-secondary education in Construction Engineering & or Civil Engineering Technology. Secondary School Diploma will also be considered based on previous work experience, trade or training.
Previous relevant experience is an asset.
Demonstrated willingness to learn;
Available to work flexible schedules and travel to site locations for extended periods of time within Ontario;
Excellent oral and written communication skills; English preferred; Bilingual (English/French) would be an asset.
Strong attention to detail, problem solving skills and ability to think creatively;
Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work effectively independently or as part of a team; and
Possess a valid driver’s license and have access to a vehicle with valid registration and insurance.
