- Conducting geotechnical material field testing such as field compaction testing, wet concrete sampling, and concrete and asphalt coring, as part of QC and QA programs;
- Performing lab testing for soil and asphalt when required;
- Assisting Lab Manager in maintaining the laboratory in appropriate working condition;
- Maintaining a safe working environment by complying with all safety codes, guidelines and regulations and indicated by the McIntosh Perry and Safety Office;
- Participating in all assigned Health and Safety training programs;
- Attending in technical training programs as required;
- Maintaining strong and effective working relationship with McIntosh Perry's clients and subcontractors and;
- Other duties as my be required
- Post-secondary education in Construction Engineering & or Civil Engineering Technology. Secondary School Diploma will also be considered based on previous work experience, trade or training.
- Previous relevant experience is an asset.
- Demonstrated willingness to learn;
- Available to work flexible schedules and travel to site locations for extended periods of time within Ontario;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; English preferred; Bilingual (English/French) would be an asset.
- Strong attention to detail, problem solving skills and ability to think creatively;
- Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work effectively independently or as part of a team; and
- Possess a valid driver’s license and have access to a vehicle with valid registration and insurance.
