Shipper/Receiver

Job Duties

• Maintain inventory for construction materials, small tools, and construction products.
• Maintain property surrounding office and shop, including weed and litter control, and keep yard and grounds in an organized, professional manner.
• Serve as a contact for all materials and small tools in the yard.
• Inspect all equipment and materials when returned to the yard; thoroughly check equipment to make sure it is in working condition and store materials in an orderly fashion.
• Utilize a scheduling system to coordinate, track, and provide trucking for the delivery of materials to job sites, and manage resources in and out of the yard.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and provide performance and status reports.
• Implement efficient storage methods to maximize the utility of the space, keeping upcoming jobs accessible, and ensure all materials are stored safely [minimize the risk of damage/weathering].
• Other duties as required.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.
• Able to work independently in a busy environment.
• Experience with routine maintenance operations.
• Highly flexible with strong people skills.
• Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Able to work well under pressure.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally.
• Computer literate.

Work Conditions

• Physical ability to lift to 50lb.
• Travel to off-site locations may be required.
• Safety equipment will be required, e.g., steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, etc.
• Overtime as required.
• Hazards associated with the trade.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Indoor and outdoor work.
• May be exposed to construction sites.
