Are you looking for an opportunity to…

· Make a significant impact on a global organization through value-add IT solutions?

· Work with a close-knit group of motivated professionals?

· Work with an organization that focuses on continued growth and development?

· Develop a career that provides a mix of local and global projects?

What makes us stand out?

KCB’s tag line, “Down to Earth / Up to the Challenge,” says a lot about who we are. In broad terms, we consider these our primary differentiators:

· our global reputation for technical excellence

· our appetite to tackle problems with unique complexities

· our creative perspectives that come through diverse and inclusive teams

· our size: large enough to win intriguing projects, small enough to know you by name

What you would engage in:

The Information Technology group’s mandate is to be progressive with our systems, responsive and effective in support, and relentless in cybersecurity. We utilize Microsoft’s extensive stack, from M365 through Server, Azure, SQL Server, the Power Platform and Dynamics, and complement these systems with a carefully selected list of other best-in-breed solutions.

Reporting to our President, you’re a key member of KCB’s Corporate Services Group. The role of Director, Information Technology comes with the flexibility to work a hybrid schedule, ideally based in our Vancouver office but we are open to Calgary and Toronto locations as well, and will look to you to:

· Create and implement a technology strategy that aligns with our expanding global business, developed in collaboration with and in support of KCB’s Business Units

· Manage global cybersecurity, from risk assessment through policy development, solution selection and implementation, operations (updates, monitoring, incident response), and overall risk mitigation

· Lead the evaluation and selection of current and emerging technologies which support KCB’s business plan

· Plan and oversee the procurement of hardware, software and technology services, including management of annual IT budget

· Mentor and develop a team of global IT Systems, Helpdesk, development and solutions professionals, ensuring they are knowledgeable and adept with our systems, supported, and engaged

· Oversee training development programs for staff who are unfamiliar with new technologies or processes being implemented by KCB

· Ensure privacy and technology regulations are adhered to in the countries in which we operate

What we require:

We respect the knowledge and experience you have gained to date and are willing to help you build on it. We do however require the following qualifications:

· A degree in computer science, information technology, software engineering or a related field; an MBA would be considered an asset

· At least five years’ experience in a senior management level position

· Experience developing IT strategies and solutions for a global organization

· An ability to establish competitive business advantage through properly aligned enterprise systems and other technologies

· A strategic and tactile understanding of advanced and emerging technologies and the potential applicability to our business

· You’re an influencer, understanding the art of fostering internal and external partnerships for collective success

· Experience in evaluating off-the-shelf solutions versus internal development

In addition to the above requirements, you will excel in the role if you also bring:

· An ability to stay prevalent in an ever-changing landscape

· CISSP or CISM certification

· Experience in an AEC organization

· Creativity and flexibility, seeking solutions rather than focusing on problems

Along with continued career development, KCB offers:

· Hybrid work opportunities

· Flexible benefits, including RSP, social, and mental well-being initiatives

· Commitment to global ESG standards

We are a global organization committed to employment equity. We respect the uniqueness that makes you, you. We encourage applications from all qualified career seekers, regardless of gender, sex, religion, or nationality.
