E & I - Operations Manager

The primary function of the Electrical & Instrumentation Operations Manager is to work closely with the E&I team on effective day-to-day operation of the branch while building a culture that is consistent with the company’s core values.

Responsibilities:

  • Creates a culture of safety while providing a high-quality service.
  • Builds company image by collaborating with customers, community and team members while exemplifying the company’s core values.
  • Delivers overall performance and results for E&I in this area.
  • Collaborate with company leadership to understand overall business goals and creates a branch level operating plan to support these objectives.
  • Ensures team members within the branch are focused on building strong lasting and effective partnerships with our customers.
  • Builds branch level plan and identifies priorities to address resource and operational challenges with input from the General Manager – Field Services.
  • Communicates and exemplifies company values and encourages staff within the branch to do the same.
  • Collaborate and build annual and long-term operating plans for E&I in the branch.
  • Directs, coaches and develops branch staff to obtain the skills and abilities to act independently in their job assignments.
  • Works with staff and customers to identify safety issues and takes corrective action to resolve these concerns.
  • Meets regularly with key customers to review service quality and performance.
  • Enhances and builds on current customer relationships to ensure customer retention.
  • Works with Business Development team to grow the business with new project work or new clients.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of supervisory experience and P&L oversight.
  • Proven ability to meet service delivery expectations including customer and safety.
  • Active risk management to resolve customer issues or project related issues to ensure the company is not exposed to unnecessary risk.
  • Knowledge of the company’s business, capabilities, policies and procedures to effectively manage the branch personnel.
  • Able to build strong lasting customer relationships that drive repeat business.
  • Superb interpersonal communication skills, this role requires continues continuous interaction with team leaders, staff coordinators and client’s management.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Able to develop and manage contractual agreements and requests for proposal as required.
  • Knowledge of leadership principles and management techniques to build a strong culture in line with company’s mission and vision.
