RFA’s residential mortgage lending business is operated by RFA Mortgage Corporation and RFA Bank of Canada, a federally regulated Schedule I Bank. RFA Mortgage Corporation specializes in Prime lending (Insured, Insurable, Uninsurable), while RFA Bank of Canada is a balance sheet based Alternative mortgage lender (Alt-A and B lending). Combined, RFA offers mortgage brokers a one-stop shop with our full suite of competitive Prime and Alternative mortgages. The Opportunity
The Brand Development Coordinator will work closely with the in-house Marketing team to coordinate, develop, and implement marketing plans and activities to enhance RFA’s brand awareness and market share.
Design & Communications 
  • Support internal and external marketing programs
  • Assist in the development of marketing material to support a national sales team
  • Assist in the planning/creation of engaging content for digital/print media
  • Update designs for the broker market
  • Assist in writing, editing, and proofreading, and communications
  • Assist in planning/executing events
  • Help track/maintain the marketing budget and content calendar
  • Maintain our annual calendar of events
  • Help with kitting/shipping of corporate gifts & swag
  • Coordinate with a variety of vendors depending on the project type
  • Update/maintain broker contact data in MailChimp
Sales Support
  • Assist in the registration of our national sales team for industry events
  • Coordinate conference material including sourcing company swag, shipping material/supplies, and event set-up (when required)
Customer/Stakeholder Interaction
  • The Brand Development Coordinator will interact with employees at all levels and must be comfortable working with many different stakeholders internally & externally.
What you can bring to RFA:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Design, Communications, or related field
  • 1-2 years of related experience (preferred but not necessary)

  • This job will be primarily remote but there will be a requirement to complete in-person tasks out of our Toronto office.
Are you the Right Candidate?
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) 
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Willing to learn or be adept at Creative Suite programs (InDesign, Photoshop, & Acrobat)
  • HTML5, CSS experience is a plus
  • Ability to prioritize and work within tight deadlines 
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized 
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision 
  • Keen eye for clean design and can execute tactical direction flawlessly/efficiently
  • Working knowledge of both digital/print advertising in all facets and stages of development
  • Copywriting/editing experience
