RAM is a technical consultancy providing Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering and Advisory services across Canada. RAM is searching for a motivated and experienced individual in Calgary, AB. The successful candidate will be an individual that enjoys a challenging, professional, and dynamic workplace and contributing to the success of a hardworking team.
Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in weekly and monthly Construction Management department meetings;
  • Provide value engineering assistance and constructability input where applicable;
  • Work with the project team to have construction contracts be successfully completed within the approved Project budget and in accordance with the approved Project Master Schedule;
  • Implement and manage weekly and/or monthly on‐Site construction progress meetings where applicable;
  • Work with the Project HS&E Manager to effectively implement the Project Specific Health and Safety Plan;
  • Manage assigned Field Engineers/ Inspectors in providing timely response to contractor queries and RFI’s;
  • Manage assigned construction contract changes as they arise; and
  • Seek input/support from the Contracts Manager and Construction Manager in the preparation and execution of approved change orders.

Ideal Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum of 5+ years experience working in a Construction Management capacity in at least one of the following sectors: Energy, Utility, and/or Transportation;
  • Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Engineering, or Construction Management;
  • Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with APEGA, or Certified Engineer Technologist (C.E.T) with ASET considered an asset;
  • Experience assembling, managing and delivering construction contracts;
  • Working knowledge of local construction standards, codes, permits and safety requirements;
  • Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills with project stakeholders, the public, clients, regulatory agencies and consultants/contractors;
  • Experience assembling, managing and delivering construction contracts;
  • Proven experience writing proposals for EPCM and EPC type projects; and
  • Familiarity with HeavyBid, Primavera, and other estimating software.
