The Analyst supports the organization by empowering data driven decision making. They have a strong programming proficiency in two or more languages, a solid understanding of analytical and statistical methodologies and can derive actionable insights and communicate findings in a clear and concise manner.  

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Effectively collaborate with different teams within the organization to create solutions to solve business problems.
  • Demonstrate an expert understanding of the data models within the organization.
  • Automate and make process and tool improvement suggestions to drive operational efficiency. 
  • ​Create or maintain Dashboards to report KPI metrics for use in the wider organization. 
  • Perform exploratory data analysis to understand and complete profiles of our customers, customer acquisition, tenure, claims and interactions to support tactical decision making.
  • Collaborate on predictive analysis initiatives to uncover, predict and segment pet owner behavior
  • Conduct timely customer analysis and post campaign measurement to drive continuous improvement.
  • Present reports and insights to the wider organization
  • Other duties as assigned

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Statistics or any relevant area.
  • 1+ years of analytical experience in the Marketing/Insurance industry.
  • 1+ years of experience in multivariate data analysis and data visualization.
  • Solid understanding of statistical methods (e.g., t-tests, correlation, regression, time-series)
  • Experience working within an Agile project management framework.
  • Experience in applying best practices with respect to code & knowledge management and data validation.
  • Working knowledge of Google Analytics 360.

Required Qualifications (Certifications, Licenses, Software Programs, KSA’s):

  • Advanced proficiency with SQL & either Python or R
  • Experience with visualization tools, e.g. Tableau/ PowerBI / Looker
  • Experience in working with Cloud tools / platforms such as AWS, Azure,
  • Experience working in Databricks, JupyterLab, AWS spark clusters (Pyspark) is a plus 

Work Requirements:

  • Frequent communications, verbal and written.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 80% of the time. 
  • Must be able to read, count and do simple mathematics.
  • Be able to lift to 10lbs. occasionally.
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a phone with headset, calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
