- Contacting client to arrange field visits;
- Complete indoor water sampling at taps according to sampling and floor plans;
- Complete Chain of Custody forms and deliver samples to the specified lab, and;
- May assist with other environmental projects as needed.
- Working towards a University of College degree/diploma in Environmental Science, Engineering or another related field;
- Ability to read and interpret floor plans and technical documents;
- Ability to work early mornings Monday to Friday, commencing as early as 6 am;
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with minimal oversight;
- Keep legible and complete field notes on sampling activities;
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks while staying motivated;
- Knowledge of drinking water sampling would be considered an asset;
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively within a team environment, with clients and other stakeholders;
- Strong attention to detail, problem solving skills and ability to think creatively;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English;
- Knowledge of MS Office Suite and SharePoint considered an asset;
- Possesses a valid driver's license and has access to a vehicle with valid registration and insurance;
- Ability to travel throughout Ottawa for work assignments;
- Ability to perform physical work in all weather conditions.
