Harvard Developments has an immediate opening for a Retail Marketing Coordinator to join its Edmonton retail team at the Currents of Windermere Shopping Centre to implement and execute the strategic marketing plan and budget. As a crucial member of a highly engaged team, the Retail Marketing Coordinator will provide an exceptional customer service experience while directing all efforts to increase traffic, sales, market share, and engagement in a fast-paced ever-changing environment.

As a successful Marketing Coordinator, you will be responsible to:
  • Assist the Senior Marketing Manager develop and execute a strategic marketing plan for the shopping centre including advertising, promotions, and community endeavors that drive traffic to the shopping centre. 
  • Deliver a year-round series of engaging event programming, in collaboration with our retailers and community partners. 
  • Manage and implement marketing budgets and assist in monthly, quarterly and annual reporting.
  • Lead the social media and digital marketing efforts, curating and creating relevant and engaging content for the shopping centre’s website and social networking programs (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok.); Collaborate with select social media influencers to amplify the shopping centre’s promotional message and highlight retailers.
  • Develop, implement, promote, and administer the shopping centre’s Gift Card program;
  • Monitor and report on marketing initiatives and campaigns carried out at the shopping centre;
  • Schedule and coordinate venue services and execution of various types of promotional and community events at the shopping centre.
 Preference will be given to an individual who possesses:
  • Educational background in Marketing, Communications, or a related field, combined with 1-3 years of relevant experience in a corporate/retail setting 
  • Event planning/execution experience. 
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving skills;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in the English language;
  • Proven negotiation skills;
  • Organized and detail-oriented with good project management and planning skills;
  • Willingness to learn and take direction;
  • Ability to multitask in a changing work environment;
  • Ability to manage and meet multiple deadlines;
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules including weekends and evenings during key retail seasons.
