Role: Project Lead/Manager, Project Delivery

Status: Regular, Full Time

Reports to: Senior Manager, Project Delivery

Division: Enercare Home and Commercial Services

Location: Hybrid - Markham

 

The Project Lead is responsible for the overall management of highly complex projects, from initiation through to implementation. In this role, the incumbent, will partner closely with resources from Operations and IT to define project scope, facilitate business requirements and process documentation to effectively design and implement solutions and operating models. This resource will be responsible for ensuring that quality standards are adhered to and that projects are completed on time, on scope and on budget.

 

Accountabilities:

  • Manages projects and/or strategic initiatives
  • Manages the creation develop sound business cases and financials
  • Facilitates business requirements gathering and process mapping sessions and prepares BRD and BPDs
  • Partner with IT and Operations to closely monitor timelines and project cost to ensure adherence with approved project plans. Variances to plan will be documented, reported, and escalated if required
  • Coordination/Participation in QA testing and Operations Readiness testing
  • Ensures that scope creep does not result by enforcing change management procedures
  • Prepares and contributes to internal presentations related to project scope, timeline, activities, issues, budget, process and progress as required
  • Manages project sponsor expectations
  • Partners with project members to prepare project timelines, and assists with the determination of a project scope that is scheduled in manageable components
  • Facilitates governance meetings to communicate progress, status, issues, assignments and escalations
  • Responsible for communication and change management plans (i.e. the preparation of project communications, adoption strategy
  • Partners closely with training team to develop training curriculum and supports training with Operations teams
  • Escalates issues and risks to senior stakeholders to develop proper mitigation plans

 

Qualifications:

  • A proven track record of successfully implementing IT projects using including 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Project Manager managing large, complex projects in a high-tech development environment with multi-function teams
  • Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAPTM) preferred
  • Project Management Professional (PMP™) preferred
  • Solid understanding of software development life cycle models
  • Sufficient level of technical background to provide highly-credible leadership to development teams and to be able to accurately and objectively evaluate complex project risks and issues.
  • Ability to collaborate with customers and develop strategies and solutions of high business value
  • BA or BS or equivalent experience is required
  • Strong interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building
  • Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of business needs with the ability to establish/maintain high level of customer trust and confidence
  • Proven ability to manage software development projects & ensure objectives, goals, and commitments are met
  • Solid understanding of and demonstrated experience in using project management tools
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills and experience interacting with both business and IT individuals at all levels including the executive level
  • Creative approach to problem-solving with the ability to focus on details while maintaining the “big picture” view
