About the role

In the lead up to the 43rd Provincial General Election, EBC undertakes a variety of learning and knowledge transfer activities to support compliance with our guiding legislation, effective employee performance, and improvement of business outcomes. Key projects are the development and delivery of blended learning programs. These programs include a significant amount of online training materials (eLearning modules, videos) that must be developed and deployed under tight timeframes.


The Team Lead, Learning Services will lead the development, implementation and evaluation of these eLearning and other online learning products. They will simultaneously function as a project manager, team leader, senior expert in online learning technologies, and eLearning developer. Staff are supported to work part of their time in the office and part of their time from home, when operationally feasible. All staff work in office during electoral events. Job Requirements

To be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:


Education and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree, diploma or certification in adult education, applied communications, educational technology, desktop publishing, graphic design, web design or related field
  • Experience and demonstrated proficiency using Articulate Storyline to design and build online learning products, including creating interactive instructional exercises, populating content into interactive slides, syncing audio and manipulating photos
  • Recent experience in successfully managing and/or coordinating complex projects
  • Experience and strong technical skills in using a variety of computer software programs used in the preparation and presentation of training materials and web-based learning, including MS Office

 

Preference may be given to applicants with:

  • Experience supervising and/or leading teams of staff
  • Experience with video recording and editing
  • Experience with audio recording and editing
  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint 2016
  • Previous experience working for Elections BC
  • Related experience in electoral administration
