Role Summary:

The Senior Manager, Finance Strategic Projects, is responsible to ensure effective delivery of finance-specific projects and/or broader projects, with a significant finance component, across the CCRM group of companies. 

 

The Senior Manager, Finance Strategic Projects, will provide high-quality support and act as the Finance team’s lead for the selection, process design, requirements, conversion planning and implementation of projects that are strategic in nature for the CCRM group of companies. The first such project is a new enterprise resource planning (ERP) system. Finance requirements will be developed in collaboration with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Finance Directors at CCRM and OmniaBio. The Senior Manager, Finance Strategic Projects, will be an integral part of the ERP implementation team led by the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and CFO of CCRM and OmniaBio.

 

The Senior Manager, Finance Strategic Projects, will also be the Finance lead for other systems and tools, as planned for from time to time. The role will ensure finance and related operational processes are designed and documented, ensuring an effective control environment for the CCRM group of companies.

 

Key objectives for strategic projects for the Senior Manager, Finance Strategic Projects, will be to implement effective, well-controlled systems that strike an appropriate balance between efficiency and control. Tools to be implemented will provide information to senior management to enable informed decision making and ultimately improve performance, enhance and develop business strategy and planning, and mitigate risks.

 

The successful candidate will be a well-organized individual who can set and manage various stakeholders’ expectations, provide proactive and effective project management, identify risks early on with mitigating strategies, communicate succinctly with executive management, and drive continuous improvements in a fast-paced environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

The employee’s services include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Lead Finance role for a new ERP implementation
  • Ensure requirements are identified and documented for a new ERP system
  • Process and control design and documentation in contemplation of a new ERP system, working collaboratively with the Finance Directors of CCRM and OmniaBio
  • Support planning for conversion of systems including from MS Dynamics Great Plains to the new ERP system
  • Perform risk assessments on processes and identify and design mitigating controls
  • Prepare OmniaBio for IFRS reporting and C-SOX/SOX compliance in the context of determining ERP requirements and designing processes and controls
  • Work with ERP project team to develop project-level budgets
  • Liaise with business units and the functional teams/leaders in support of their finance requirements in a new ERP system and ancillary systems
  • Support the development of business intelligence strategies and technology for periodic reporting at the business unit and project level
  • Develop an understanding of data and information flow at CCRM and OmniaBio. Contribute to the development of tools, standards and guidelines to support regular business life cycle, including customer acquisition, purchasing, project management, manufacturing operations, inventory management, financial data management, invoicing and revenue collection processes
  • Assist in developing standard financial analysis, key metrics and performance reporting to support operations in various business units
  • Assist in the planning, design and setup of CCRM Global Services
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications establishing personal networks, and participating in professional institute activities
  • Other finance and business support activities, as required

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or accounting disciplines
  • Designated CPA, or compensating experience
  • 10+ years of finance full cycle accounting, financial reporting and analytics experience, preferably within a CDMO or life sciences organization, with increasing levels of responsibility
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Experience with implementation and operationalization of ERP systems and business intelligence systems, including with successful organization change management approaches
