The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Production Supervisor position is an exciting opportunity in a creative and fast-moving industry based out of our Kelowna facility. The successful candidate will have demonstrated the ability to lead a Production team and be capable of learning all areas of responsibility and perform duties in a highly regulated industry utilizing the appropriate policies and guidelines.
As a Production Supervisor you will:
- Provide hands on leadership to production teams while overseeing the daily manufacturing operations across multiple production areas.
- Adhere to the work schedule and ensure appropriate allocation of labor to meet deadlines while motivating the team and closely monitoring quality output.
- Continuously improve production processes with the goal of meeting daily KPI’s.
- Lead standardized work procedures and ensure adherence to safe work practices.
- Remain up to date on all SOPs and maintain documentation required for compliance.
- Work with the Plant Manager and Human Resources to address staff performance issues and training requirements.
- Provide daily performance feedback to team members and conduct employee evaluations.
- Support new employees with on job training and provide mentorship.
- Active participant in the safety protocols for all production floor operations.
- Other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager.
As a Production Supervisor you bring:
- 3+ years of Leadership experience in a Supervisory position within a manufacturing setting.
- 1+ year experience with LEAN or Sigma training/management.
- 1+ year experience with hands on ERP usage.
- 1+ year experience leading Health and Safety Program in a production facility.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Excellent leadership qualities, with the ability to train employees, set and achieve goals and expectations working with up to 30 staff.
- High level of personal integrity.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain critical thinking under pressure.
- High school education.
- Ability to lift 30 lbs.
