Freson Bros. invites individuals who appreciate the Craft of being a Chef to apply for the position of Line Cook in Stony Plain, AB.                                                   

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of the basic principles of food preparation, smokehouse cooking, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations

• Preference will be given to candidates with smokehouse experience

• Experience as a prep cook or line cook is preferred

• Warm and welcoming personality 

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

• Can prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently

• Comfortable working during peak food-retail hours (evenings, weekends and holidays)

• Ability to stand for long periods

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Role and Responsibilities:

• Cook, smoke,  and prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes

• Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food products

• Maintain a clean and sanitized workstation

• Properly store food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures

• Handling customer service inquiries and providing exceptional customer service

• Embrace and champion the use of real ingredients to produce real food

Position Details

• Position type: Full-time

• Location: Stony Plain, Alberta

• Wage: $15-20 / hour
